Snapshots of life in a van.

Gertie was my 1989 Chevrolet camper van and for a moment the love of my life.  

 

This is a collection of the photos taken during the time I lived in her (2010/11).  In 2011 her engine caught fire; she exploded and then burnt to the ground, on the side of the highway, with entirety of my possessions inside (entire, without a hint of exaggeration, save for the dress I was wearing) including the original photographs. These images have been scavenged from emails, blog posts and facebook, culminating in a roadside fire photo (blanket kindly provided) that I asked passerby to take on his phone.
